A refreshing summer treat which is a good source of calcium
Ingredients
115 oz canpeaches- in their own juice, no sugar added
4cupsvanilla ice milk
32ouncesclub soda or seltzer water
½cupCool Whip (no sugar added, fat free)
Ground nutmegto taste
Instructions
In a small bowl, mash the peaches with a fork or chop into bits
Divide the mashed or chopped peaches into 4 glasses (12 ounces each).
Add to each glass 2 tablespoons of the peach juice and 1 scoop of ice milk.
Pour 1 cup soda or seltzer into the glasses.
Serve immediately.

This is such an easy recipe to adapt. You can use fat free frozen yogurt, or, you can blend the entire recipe in a blender to make a Peach Shake, or you can use fresh peaches (so long as they are really ripe and juicy).This is one of those recipes that uses canned fruit very well. Sometimes fresh peaches can freeze too hard in a blended ice cream beverage and get grainy, but canned peaches blend smoothly. Play with this one until you get the type you like most.
