. Grilled Turkey Burgers are a terrific departure from beef, and Broccoli Slaws are popular in our home and office. They tote well, last a long time and improve with a day or two in the fridge, but try to banish the mayonnaise and sugar coated version of this salad from your picnic table, and try this lighter, flavorful version
Ingredients
Turkey Burgers
1poundground turkey
⅛cuponion- diced
2teaspoonsgarlic finely minced
2teaspoonsdiced parsley
2stalksscallions- diced
¼cuprolled oats
1eggs
1teaspoonsoy sauce
1teaspoonFine Pink Salt
4hamburger buns, whole wheat or white (your preference)
1cuproasted vegetables(optional)
orLettuce leaves
orTomato slices
orOnion slices
orreduced calorie mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, if desired
Broccoli Slaw
2cupsjulienne broccoli
⅓cupjulienne bell peppers
¼cupjulienne onion
¼cupraisins
⅓cupshredded carrots
Slaw Dressing
¼cuprice wine vinegar
2tablespoonshoney
¼cupcanola oil
1 teaspoondiced scallions
Sea Salt and Ground Pepper
Instructions
Burgers
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well. (You can also use a stand mixer on low speed.)
Preheat grill until thermometer on grill is at 400°.
Make 4 equal-size patties.
Grill for about 5 minutes, then flip and grill for 5 more minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°.
Serve with hamburger buns, roasted vegetables, micro greens, lettuce, tomato, onions and condiments, in the combination you most enjoy

Blend all dressing ingredients
Blend all vegetables
Toss vegetables with dressing and chill for at least 12 onions to marinade and soften the vegetables
