Mynd Spa Salon Closed – Gift Card Exchange
Day spa pioneer, Elizabeth Arden, opened her first spa location in 1910 and it became a symbol of beauty around the world.
In 2019, her brand of Red Door Salons & Spas were reborn as Mynd Spas & Salons.
Sadly, less than year later, all Mynd Spa Salon locations were shuttered permanently, following bankruptcy proceedings.

They knew this was coming and they let us all be cheated. Jackals. Why not put all the consumers first and THEN let the Bankruptcy Trustee pay off debts? Why are not consumers the most important person to pay off first for gift cards?! We are more at risk, we don’t have insurance or anything to recover from and it’s harder to prove our history and our receipts unless we used a credit card, and what if we don’t have that same credit card anymore? The little guy just doesn’t matter. Only giving 5 stars because it will help this post be seen and everyone can know what these people did to a 100 year old brand. They trashed it. AND DON’T BLAME THE PANDEMIC!!!!!! Losers.
I am upset that my son purchased this gift card for me for Christmas 2019. I will have him check with his credit card company to see if they will cancel this charge. Will also hound the trustee bankruptcy team. Thank you for the information. Very sad. G. Hefferon Mays Landing, NJ
I am heartbroken to read these posts. Please know that the employees of Mynd / Red Door were deceived just as you all were by the very upper levels of management. The CEO was Todd Walter and he was responsible for what happened. He walked away at the end without the common decency to face his employees. He left the mess to another company exec and to the bankruptcy process, to clean up. Within weeks he obtained another high profile position with a spa management company (you can search the info if you want more details on that and make your spa patronage decision based on the people who hired him) Meanwhile all the rest of the employees were left with no job and no benefits or severance. Nothing! Also, please know that any Mynd sales pitch for Gift Cards or packages or memberships were not made with the intent to cheat customers. At least not at the local location level. We all were trying to sell you on the best value for your money, and it was part of our job. We had no idea that we were in a precarious situation or we would have NEVER pitched these items and taken your money like that. I am truly humiliated, embarrassed, so sad and so sorry.

This is crazy I have a gift certificate from 2019 that doesn’t expire as I had called to ask. I’ve been planning on using the gift card but sometime things come up and I was look to use it now and saw they closed!! Someone needs to tell use what is going to happen because really they are stealing peoples money for a service not provided! I am so outraged!
I have a package through them – so I gather than my treatments are not going to be honored. Any chance that they will reopen ?
I had a year of wax treatments on account that I prepaid.

Sadly, we’ve received no solutions from the Mynd group, not even the courtesy of a response. They folded up the tent and left everyone out in the rain. Destroyed a historic brand in a short period of time, and the response has been so poor, we don’t even give them the “Covid Pass” because the decline began before-hand. The best advice is to contact your financial institution, if you used a check or credit card to purchase, and to see if you can file a complaint to get a refund. Second idea is to hound the trustee / bankruptcy team.
