Mynd Spa Salon Closed – Gift Card Exchange
Day spa pioneer, Elizabeth Arden, opened her first spa location in 1910 and it became a symbol of beauty around the world.
In 2019, her brand of Red Door Salons & Spas were reborn as Mynd Spas & Salons.
Sadly, less than year later, all Mynd Spa Salon locations were shuttered permanently, following bankruptcy proceedings.
FOR INFORMATION ON GIFT-CARD EXCHANGE OFFERS
- Spa Index Guide to Spas has never and does not ever sell, buy or exchange gift cards or gift certificates — for this, or any other brand. We will update this post, however, if we learn of offers or methods to redeem your purchased gift certificates. Sadly, this one was such a S-Storm that few merchants are willing to take on the enormous population of cheated former clients and customers, by honoring discounts at any level.

I just checked to see if red door spa was open after the out break of covid. Now to find out that it went bankrupt is annoying to say the least. I have got cards a voucher. Why didnt the company notify the public ( like other companies did of there situation) so we as consumers could get our money back. I’m so angry! Reply !!
It was actually painful for us to watch a spa brand built with such dedication, for almost a century by Elizabeth Arden and her team, dissipate into such chaos (and only partly because of Covid) so quickly after the brand change-over to Mynd. We agree with you that notifications were in order, and now to be fully ignored without the courtesy of a reply (to us as well) is disappointing. And worse.
Agreed – I also have a gift card that didn’t come easy to the people that got it for me and it’s very disappointing to say the least.
What are our options here?
Has anyone else had their gift cards refunded? Thanks for trying to find people to help us, but no one is really stepping forward yet
Regrettably, the number of outstanding gift cards and membership fees paid are apparently so high in number, that unlike other generous spas in the industry that step forward when a spa closes, doing so for Mynd could financially devastate any spa “stepping forward” because it follows an industry-shutdown. Spas are only now “coming back online” with half-occupancy and half-treatment menus. It’s hard (and perhaps impossible) to carry Mynd Spas’ gift card customers as a generous gesture when your own business is desperately trying to dater to your own limited clients, and pay costs, rent, and staff salaries.
that’s a really good point, makes sense sadly
I have 2 gift cards Please let me know how to redeem them.
Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m disappointed in this of course, and surely there should be some form of automatic refunds by credit card companies for anyone caught in this type of situation. Like if anyone goes out of business, credit card companies refund customers first, automatically, no questions asked, and let the bankrupt businesses sort it out.
any info on what to do with gift cards?
Disappointed i wont’ be able to use my gift card but hopeful there will be some exchange or redemption for them.
