Vichy Springs Resort is a unique historic hot springs resort only two hours north of San Francisco. Originally established in 1854, the resort has been thoroughly renovated and is open for both day use and overnight stays. There are both rooms and cottages — the cottages offer slightly more luxurious accommodations, including kitchens and private porches. The rooms, cottages, and office, all built in 1854, are the oldest standing structures in California’s famous Mendocino County.
Cottage Guests
Guests staying overnight for bed & breakfast in rooms and cottages enjoy the use of the famous “champagne” baths as the well as hot soaking pool, Olympic size swimming pool (in summer) and 700 acres for nature walking and hiking. A full buffet breakfast is also included for guests. Other meals are five minutes away in Ukiah.
Day Guests
Yes, we welcome day visitors. You will “feel a million miles from your cares, and your heart will sing a new song” (1914 resort brochure). Come and experience a true carbonated “Vichy” mineral bath, massage, facial and a walk on the beautiful 700 acre private reserve. Vichy Springs use its own famous Vichy mineral water for facials combined with the highest quality massage oil and facial materials available. A place out of time. A serene and peaceful remedy for modern life.
Been going to Vichy Springs with my family since I was a kid, now 30 years later it still holds its magical enchantment over my children. Beautiful walks to the waterfall, champagne bubbles in the mineral baths, a big hot tub, giant pool the kids spent the whole day playing and lots of open space to run and enjoy nature. Everything is clean and the team there is lovely, always having time to stop and talk. Relax and Enjoy, it's a magical place.
Rustic indeed! The bath houses haven't been updated in past many years but I think that's part of the charm. I definitely felt invigorated after soaking in the champagne bath. And spring time affords many opportunities to take in the wildflowers throughout the grounds.
"Vichy Springs is registered California Historical Landmark. The bath houses are historic 1860 construction and are being left as they were. Thank you for your kind comments." -- Vichy Springs Owners
