A gorgeous place with an abundance of nature, and scenic beauty. Golf, fishing, biking, hiking, and more. Our room was a king, which was very comfortable, and clean, The very basic necessities were there. My only negative is the website. There is so much information lacking, such as limited hours of operation of the Marina during the spring months, and the type of boat that is available to rent. That the spa is closed on Mondays, or that the wonderful pool, and hot tubs are closed for the remainder of April due to construction, etc. A great place to stay, but call ahead to make sure that the activity you want is available during your stay.
The Lodge has great rooms, a spa, very good restaurant named Stillwaters, indoor/outdoor pool, a nice pub called TJ Muskies, conference center, & lots of activities that you can book (like mountain biking, skeet shooting, weddings & receptions, etc). They offer an 18-hole Arnold Palmer golf course with reasonable pricing along with a great restaurant called Lightburns. Their cottages and lake houses are fantastic places to rent & they have a private dock. The marina is a nice place to dock your boat for the season or for a day trip. The marina's activity center is fun & has a playground with bike rentals. Lastly, the camping area is right on the lake with tent spots & hookups for campers.
Overall, we had a great experience and will be back again. The food left a bit to be desired, especially for the price. We stayed in a Jr Suite, and it was nice and clean. Though, I was expecting a little bit more of a luxury feel than it had. Lastly, we had a couples massage and that was great! The staff were friendly and prompt.
