The St. Regis Houston is one the city’s few five-star hotels, thanks to its numerous amenities. It is ideally located between Houston’s exclusive River Oaks area and The Galleria, an international mecca for luxury shopping and entertainment, and only six-miles from the famed Texas Medical Center.
These amenities include the city’s favored outdoor pool and lounge areas, the on-site fitness center, its world- class spa, the fine dining at The Remington Restaurant, the luxury guest rooms and suites with flat-screen TVs, Italian bed linens and Bose Wave music systems, and more. Select rooms and suites are pet-friendly, with up to 2 pets permitted subject to a fee. Dog Beds are available, but key areas of the hotel are restricted and may not be visited by pets.
Guests also enjoy the use of a 24-hour concierge to help arrange or suggest tours of Houston’s most scenic and desired attractions,
The Pool Area
The 800 sq ft Outdoor Swimming Pool is located on the mezzanine level of the hotel, adjacent to the Spa & Exercise Room. The pool deck area offers revitalizing refreshments and is open daily and into the evening hours. Guests can linger in lounge chairs, or plan a reception or an exclusive event around the pool deck.
The Spa
The hotel’s spa philosophy draws its inspiration from holistic wellness therapies with Ayurvedic rituals and range of unique massage, skin care, beauty and wellness rituals. Visit the elegantly appointed spa lounge and treatment rooms, or, for an added fee, book the services in your own guest room. All spa guests enjoy complimentary use of the fitness center, locker rooms, dry sauna, and the pool.
Dining
The dining options at The St Regis Houston are, as expected, nearly perfect, but guests rave about Afternoon Tea and The Wine Room, as well. Enjoy a traditional menu of petit-fours, tea sandwiches, scones, and Devonshire Cream in a the tranquility of the hotel’s Tea Lounge which features butler style service and the melodic sounds of our harpist. Or, escape to an intimate setting in a private venue, the Wine Room, which offers a cellar-like atmosphere, where the chef’s culinary surprises offer an evening to be remembered for just you and your friends and loved ones.

Always lovely
Amazing hotel and staff. Room was beautiful and comfortable. I was in town for business and wish I could have stayed one additional night to enjoy spa and my room for just a bit longer.
I have stayed in many St Regis properties, including Atlanta, Aspen, Punta Mita. The St Regis Houston was by far my least favorite.
My room was very clean and spacious, with nice towels and toiletries. However the bedskirt had a large rip in it that was difficult to ignore, so I am not sure what the housekeeping staff didn’t replace it before my arrival.
The hotel offers spa services, so the day before my arrival I called and booked a massage. Unfortunately, when I showed up for it the next day, K learned that the concierge employee I spoke with forgot to book it. I emailed him about this but he did not email back and apologize.
I then went for breakfast in the Remington dining area. I brought a cup of coffee with me and only ordered eggs and fruit on the side. Although the waitress acknowledged the fact that I had my own coffee, she proceeded to charge me for it on the bill. When I brought it to her attention, it took 10 -15 minutes to grab a manager and delete the erroneous charge from the bill in addition to what I felt like a miffed attitude towards my concern.
While I hope to stay at St Regis properties in the future, this one may not be my first choice if I return to Houston.
