Amid an abundance of rare wildlife is a spectacular valley snuggled beneath the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and the one million acre Medicine Bow National Forest. There lies the historic and splendid Saratoga Resort & Spa.
The inn was built in the 1950′s and although updated for the modern traveler, still has a delightful mid-century Americana lodging ambiance, and takes full advantage of the area’s geothermal goings-on. Captured in a variety of stone-enclosed pools, a nearly odorless hot spring gurgles up through the ground in the resort’s backyard. The pools, some small and some large, hover anywhere between 100 and 106 degrees.
Guests enjoy on-site dining with hand-crafted microbrews are available, pampering spa treatments, healing mineral hot springs, numerous activities, comfortable accommodations, and a friendly staff. Each of the 50 guest rooms and suites are complete with a rustic flare including featherbeds, Pendleton blankets, locally crafted lodge pole beds and prints of the old West by Charles Russell and Frederick Remington.
Mineral Springs and Spa
Take a dip in the Saratoga Resort & Spa’s healing mineral hot springs. The incredible high mineral content and no sulphur odor ranks these springs with the world famous German springs.
Soak in intimate teepee covered private pools as a prelude to a soothing spa treatment or while viewing a wild Wyoming starlit sky. Soothe your spirit with a wonderful massage, body wrap or facial, at the Healing Waters Spa or choose the 70-foot natural hot spring mineral pool for a well earned reprieve after an active, adventurous day.
Outdoor Fun
While Saratoga offers calm, hot mineral springs relaxation, if you are looking for some adventure, the resort can accommodate that as well, with an array of outdoor activities for the solo guest, family, or group, from sledding to golf only a few steps from the lodge to horseback riding.
Pet Kennels
The Saratoga Resort & Spa realizes that pets are a part of the family, and owners want to bring them along while on vacation. Nor does the pet like to be left behind. The Saratoga Resort and Spa recognizes this and provide dog kennels for your pets use while staying with us, so you can relax knowing your faithful companions are close by and safe. Kennels are provided for guest use and not available to non-guests. Kennels include both a 4×6 sheltered section and a 4×8 outside run.

Great place to to kick back and enjoy nature and some good outdoor fun! The food was on point and the brewery is awesome! Lots of fun activities to do outside and the hot springs are always a great way to end the day. I high recommend this resort.
Beautiful location and the hot pools are amazing! Staff was very helpful and professional! The food was good! It was a little expensive for the stay.
I enjoyed my stay at Saratoga Hot Springs – and after reading other room reviews I had an idea what to expect regarding the thin walls and no fridge etc in the room. No surprises.
The aesthetic of the resort was based heavily off of the western and Indigenous Native cultures. Upon checkout, I asked the front desk associate if they had any information available on the tribes whose land we were on. Unfortunately she could not even tell me even one tribal name. That is unsettling and sounds like appropriation given the fact the land was the home of many many tribes and there are teepee's over 3 of the hot spring pools -- along with native art.
I think it might be nice (and appropriate) to have a pamphlet or one-pager to distribute to guests who might be interested in that part of the areas history as well.
"Shannon, we greatly appreciate your feedback, and we couldn't agree more! The land in and around Saratoga was a neutral ground between Native American Tribes (Cheyenne, Ute and Arapaho) as they all were known to frequent the hot springs which is what they referred to as "place of magic waters". Please know that we are committed to accurately and appropriately honoring the historical influence from the Native American culture and will proactively make sure that we are educating our staff on that important part of our history as well. We do have an online pamphlet about the history of the resort itself available here: https://saratoga-hot-spring-resort.dcatalog.com/v/History-Book/." -- Saratoga Resort Management
