milk + honey – Brentwood

Melanie is wonderful for all your MedSpa needs. I had a BBL + Moxi with her and was very impressed by her knowledge, training, listening to my needs, and the thoroughness of the treatment. She spent a lot of time on my treatment doing multiple passes and changing settings so I could get the best results, and fortunately Milk and Honey has nice long appointment blocks, so it allows providers to give the best treatment possible. Also was able to hang out in the spa waiting room and have tea while numbing, which was a lovely experience. Usually when I go to check out after med spa treatments, I think to myself “that was very expensive, not sure if it’s worth it, but hope it works,” but in this case I was happy to pay, and it definitely feels like the treatment and results are worth the price they are charging. I’ll be back again to have BBL+Moxi done on a regular basis, and hope to also check out the spa services soon!

Horrible customer service. I was a regular (at Culver City), until I visited the Brentwood location yesterday. My appointment was 5:00 for a 60-min massage.

1. They were reluctant to help me out as I was running late - I agreed to pay for 60 min and receive a 30 min massage.  I was able to get an additional 30 min only because my friend insisted they suggest me something. Once again, I’ve been a client for at least 6 months and I tip well. But who cares?  And before arriving, as I was driving, it was 5:14, someone from the front desk called me and said that if I don’t arrive in 1 min, they’ll give me only a 15-min massage. I didn’t get it.

2. Front desk technicians were extremely rude and stressed me out every time I reached out - not the quality of service you expect in a “luxury” spa.

3. I was refused the promo code (in person) that I always used in a different location. However, the web-site does accept the promo code.

4. I was almost tricked with the tip amount.

Not a relaxing experience. I left even more stressed than I had arrived. And once again - I kept apologizing all the way, because I felt it was totally my fault to be late. But it’s not my job to treat regular clients well, even if they’re late (for the first time ever).  I wrote up a complaint to their email, and all I got is a voice mail saying “this promo code is just 1 time”. That’s it!

We're reading this that the spa team, at the END of a workday, was attempting to accommodate you for a shorter massage time, because your tardiness was due to your own mishap, which you admitted and apologized for, and, you were warned that slot may be sacrificed if you were not close enough to warrant holding any time open for you. We're also reading that you were a regular but this was at another location -- not Brentwood -- so the relationship wasn't of long duration at this location. We're reading that you were attempting to use an expired promo code which is valid for a first time guest, only -- and you've enjoyed it in the past, at other locations. These elements don't spell bad 1 star customer service quite yet, so we'll be happy to update this review with owner response. We've reached out for comment.

MELANIE! She is absolutely incredible. so educated and pays so much attention to detail. She did a BBL and Moxie on me and my skin has never looked better!! She is my girl for life now!
