milk + honey – Downtown Austin

I got a basic aroma massage for an hour. My massage specialist was professional and all my muscles were loosened. All the staff are friendly, the facilities are so beautiful and comfortable. I want to visit again!

They called me an hour before my appointment on a Saturday to cancel on me. I asked to reschedule for they next day Sunday and they could not accommodate me. I asked if they could fit me in at any of the other locations close by. They could not. I didn’t make plans for myself tonight so I could specifically get my nails done. I have limited free time and important meetings coming up all week and now I’m left with chipping gels and calling around town short notice to try to have some place squeeze me in on a Sunday. This spa charges clients when clients are late but they have no problem or concern canceling on short notice with no penalties. Unacceptable double standard.

Update: It has been well over a week and I have received ZERO communication from Milk + Honey after my complaint. Everything Milk + Honey said in their response was to make them look like they care and value their customer online.

I do see that your reservation was cancelled a little over 2 hours before your start time, and we do apologize for any duress this caused you. Cancelling our clients with short notice is always a last resort, but because your service provider became ill we decided the safest course of action was to send her home for the day. We don't take those decisions lightly, but we want to be mindful of the health of our employees as well as the guests they come into contact with. We did make attempts to secure an alternate reservation or therapist for you, but unfortunately that did not come to fruition. I understand that your recent experience was disappointing, but my main priority is making this up to you. I'll be reaching out to you directly and I would be delighted to receive the opportunity to assist you. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I've been coming to M+H for years due to the quality experience and service they deliver. They're my go-to spa for lux massages and facials. My hubby and sweet boys love to surprise me with gift cards every year and it's always the perfect treat and place for relaxation. Highly recommend.
