High on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Keltic Lodge and Spa commands a view and beckons you to relax and enjoy the splendor of the Highlands.
The Cape Breton Highlands came to fame in 1939, when the National Park Service hired Stanley Thompson to make this area, with its awe inspiring views of mountains and ocean — a place worthy of its splendor. His golf course followed, with an homage to Scottish roots, and the classic lodge opened in 1951. It has been fully renovated yet remains a throwback to the era of railroad hotels in National Parks.
A view of majestic Cape Smokey rising out of the sea greets your arrival at Keltic Lodge. Whether you stay at the Main Lodge, the Inn at Keltic or one of the cozy 2-4 bedroom cottages (each with its own fireplace), your comfort is assured. The lodge operates seasonally, from May through October.
The Spa at Keltic has a commanding view of Cape Smokey mountain and the sandy shores of Ingonish Beach. The Aveda-themed spa offers over 5,000 sq. ft of space, relaxation, four treatment rooms, steam and regular showers, sauna, Pilates, esthetics, hair salon and a lounge. The full service spa features seaweed treatments indicative of the resort’s ocean connection. Make time to use our on site fitness center, and our heated outdoor pool, and our indoor and outdoor Whirlpool tubs.
