Great weekend getaway in the mountains of Boone, NC, stunning area. Place is a bit "tired" and the bathrooms really need work. The spa is "closed for the duration of Covid" so beware -- NO SPA SERVICES AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW. The people / staff were friendly and the area is nice, but I do admit this place needs some revamping after Covid is over.
I've read some of the reviews about Crestwood -- on many sites -- and I think there are some people which don't understand mountain accommodations. It doesn't make sense to compare a country inn to a five star in New York or Dubai. Regardless, we've stayed at this place a couple of times now and really have enjoyed our stays. Wonderful little bar and a beautiful dinning room which has two story glassed wall overlooking garden yard. Rooms are clean and well furnished. It is15 minutes to Boone down one side of the mountain and 10 minutes down the other side of the mountain to Blowing Rock. Very convenient.
Very nice area, courteous staff, beautiful property.
