We were dismayed with the lack of Covid safety protection -- inadequate social distancing and not enforcing the proper placement of masks by staff (wearing below the chin). Also, clothes were missing from our room and the desk staff were dismissive of our concerns.
We had a nice massage at the spa and everyone there behaved very professionally. The young woman who greeted us was very nice, everything was clean, everyone wore masks and both our masseuses asked us what our masking preference was.
We partook of the happy hour one evening. It's in a lovely space at the top of the hotel with outdoor and indoor seating. Wine, cheese, and fruit, very nice, with the exception of unmasked gentlemen.
It's too bad we were dismayed by the safety aspects because it is convenient and well appointed hotel, with lovely Native décor and artifacts throughout the halls and common areas.
It has the potential to be an outstanding place but, in hospitality, service is key and you want your guests to feel safe and comfortable. They should not advertise that they are practicing COVID safe measures if, in reality, they appear to find them superfluous and unnecessary based on what we observed.
Very nice size room. Clean and fresh. Great spa. Open terrace dining room was a plus. Coffee and tea available throughout the day.
Super sweet staff, very dog-friendly, and some of the kindest fellow guests I've ever encountered. If you're counting on any of the spa services / dog-watching amenities listed on the hotel's website, be sure to book far ahead as they may not be available during your stay -- limited availability. Beautiful room, great location, pretty good restaurant. The shower and furniture were amazing and they even accommodated a necessary later check-out for us.
