At the Hill Country Herb Garden in Fredericksburg guests enjoy Farm Cottages where you can stay and relax in a comfortable garden environment; The Spa, a 5,000 square foot destination day spa with multiple treatment rooms; a Farm Restaurant; Gift Shop, offering garden and gift items as well as candles, lotions, soaps and much more that are formulated; and of course the gardens where fresh ingredients are grown and used in our restaurant or just for your enjoyment.
Spa
At the Spa our goal is to offer you more than a spa treatment, but instead treat you to a truly unique relaxation experience. You will enter a tranquil retreat the moment you step in our doors. Come early to maximize your time by utilizing our far infrared sauna; afterwards soak in the benefits of your treatment in the relaxation room or on our sun patio.
During your visit talented therapists will take the time to talk with you and tailor treatments to your specific needs. Within the menu of services you’ll find a variety of treatments that utilize herbal infused and organic products as well the finest essential oils, specially blended on-site. Your therapist will also recommend eco-conscious beauty and skincare products to use at home.
Cottage and Restaurant Guests
For overnight guests, breakfast is delivered to the cottage each morning featuring chef-inspired European continental dishes. All of the rooms include a king bed with beautiful linens, kitchenette with all of your overnight needs. Each spa-like bathroom features a walk-in shower with our own herbal bath products, robes, and soft linens.
The Restaurant offers light fare with fresh and colorful ingredients, garden inspired cocktails, and a juice and smoothie menu.
Where
The Hill Country Herb Garden is located in Fredericksburg, Texas. When traveling west on Main Street (Hwy 290), go to the stop light at Milam and turn left. You are now traveling south on Milam. After four blocks turn right on Whitney. The Herb Garden will be on the left.

We have been to Fredericksburg so many times over the years, but we recently discovered this place. It was absolutely stunning. The grounds are so beautiful. Herbs, plants, and flowers surround every room, the restaurant, and garden. The rooms are the perfect size. It smelled absolutely amazing in the room every time we walked in. We actually bought some of the all natural room sprays they make there to take back home from the gift shop. They have a restaurant walking distance from every room. The food, service, and drinks were great. So many beautiful spots to sit and enjoy your cocktail or a glass of wine. There's also a spa on the grounds, which unfortunately we didn't use on our trip, but definitely will next time. Complimentary breakfast delivered to your door each morning. Very cute patio on each home with a swing and seats. It's not far from main street. It's very quiet also, so no need to worry about street traffic or other people. We cannot wait for our next stay!
We stayed in Cottage 1 for a few nights. The grounds are beautiful. The restaurant and bar is lovely with wonderful service. The spa is so relaxing - we had a couples massage and the women were incredible. You could tell they have passion for what they do. The cabins themselves are lovely however the bed was rock hard, the ceilings covered in dust and the shower hadn’t been cleaned (there was dried on soap on the wall and handrail). For $200 a night I would expect the room to be clean on arrival.
My massage was amazing! Will be back.
