We had been wanting to visit Earth Lodge for a few years due to its inclusion in the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, but even this did not prepare us for its incredible uniqueness! The architecture still look futuristic in 2021, while still being authentic, and one can only imagine how out-of-this world it must have looked when it was built in 2000!
Luxury is a given at Earth Lodge, with spacious rooms which include a marge patio and plunge pool - definitely required in the hot summer months! The great staff go out of their way to make your stay as nice as possible.
The food was simply incredible, and the chef, Mercy, made sure we were well-fed - too much in fact, that we had to skip a meal or two! The wine selection is extensive, and we even had dinner in the wine cellar one evening.
Our guide and tracker were excellent, and we really enjoyed the bushwalk they organised for us. One highlight of our stay was witnessing the birth of a buffalo on our very last game drive before leaving!
Visiting Earth Lodge is not cheap, but it is one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that will stay with you forever!
Amazing! The best service ever! The best food ever! The best lodge ever. The best tours ever! This is a diamond place!
