ENOUGH with the up-sells. I need a sure-fire way to shut that down. I get it if you need to communicate with a new guest and ask about needs, wants, desires, add-ons. But if you're coming month after month as member, and you've removed almost every amenity until this pandemic is under control (I get it), can you lay off the Cash Grab? Just for my 50 minute massage or facial? Can I just have the service, and answer only essential questions PLEASE? My aesthetician, and the massage therapist, both used up at least 15 minutes of my 50 minute service talking -- not asking me about pressure or anything -- only about things which included a "price tag."
"Hello, {Name} great to see you! We'd like a silent session today, please, but do feel comfortable asking the most important questions as you perform, pressure, feedback from me, etc. Please save all retail or commerce questions for afterward, when we're not taking away from my treatment time. Oh, and don't tempt me with any add-ons today -- I have to stick to my budget so I can keep seeing you. Thank you so much!" -- Spa Index
Not open daily as they used to be. Not many amenities still available (temporarily). Why, if there are no amenities available or being served, doesn't that affect the price? If you're not operating certain lounge areas, or serving beverages or snacks, or having to operate certain equipment, or clean certain areas, or do certain things -- why isn't the value of that passed on to the member customer? The service was $200 with a FULL menu of amenities, and $200 WITHOUT. How is that fair? We're here, keeping this place humming with guests. How about Burke Williams give US a break, too? Like take off 10 or 20% for No Amenity Services, and thank us for coming in anyway? Ok, you'll say it's because because business has decreased by half, hours are shortened, staffing is hard, and you make less money to pay everyone. I get it. But we make less, too. And we spend it here. Your operating expenses are LESS, are they not? Since the decreased service and amenities are theoretically and hopefully temporary, the "Covid Discount" could be discounted, too. Thought for the Day.
We completely understand your frustration. We can't agree operating expenses are noticeable less in terms of lease, insurance, utilities, etc., but the significantly decreased amenities should be reflected in some way, even if only as "attendance points" for future extras. -- Spa Index
Loved the amenities. My masseuse was great.
