Our Cajun-Style Red Beans and Rice takes just a few minutes to assemble but delivers loads of hearty, snappy flavor.

Equipment

  • Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 cups red kidney beans - dried, washed and rinsed
  • 1 cup brown rice - uncooked
  • 1 medium red onion - chopped
  • 1 medium red or green bell pepper - chopped
  • 4 stalks celery - chopped
  • 6 - 8 cloves garlic - minced
  • ½ cup chives or scallions - chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Cajun seasoning - salt-free
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 5 cups water

Instructions

  • Add all your ingredients to your crockpot, with the veggies on top.
  • Cook on LOW for around 7 hours. Cooking times may vary depending on your crockpot.
