Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Smoothie
Is it breakfast, dessert, a post work out meal, a milk shake, or all of these things? Hard to decide! The team at Biggest Loser Resorts came up with this peanut butter banana chocolate smoothie, kicked it up with honey, and it manages to be a rich treat and a protein boost all in one. It’s got good fats and nutrition, but make no mistake, it’s a calorie indulgence. We share the original version, and our modified version which is lower calorie and a little less sweet, as well.
This post is as much a Public Service Announcement as anything else — because we are constantly shown the image of this smoothie in a small glass, claiming it’s only 50 calories. Not so. This recipe is for 6 servings, but even so, even a small portion wouldn’t be 50 calories. Check our stats, below!

Good with PB2 and everyone enjoys it. We make it extra rich with Fairlife milk.
Our favorite milk brand as well!
My teens’ favorite. Make it all the time.
Tasty but more of a dessert than a smoothie
I’ve seen this as 50 calories a dozen places and knew that wasn’t correct. Thank you!
I’ve seen this ALL OVER PINTEREST at 50 calories per glass. I knew that was impossible. Maybe a shot-glass size of 1 oz? No way. I’m not even sure why BL promoted this recipe. Good fats, protein, that’s true, but golly. Thanks for figuring out the stats for us. It didn’t even need the honey. Your version was good.
I’ve seen it too 100 times. I knew it couldn’t be right. Not even a shot glass of this would be 50 calories. Must be a reprint that just never went away. The revised version is better and much lower in calories.
