Peach Floats with Ice Milk
This refreshing Peach Float recipe courtesy of the Mayo Clinic is made with peaches, vanilla ice milk, club soda, whipped topping, and nutmeg, for a cool treat with summer flavor.
The recipe, a good source of calcium, calls for canned peaches. If you want to use canned please find a variety which doesn’t have added sugar — the fruit really is sweet enough without it. You can also use defrosted frozen peach slices.
We used fresh peaches from our local fruit stand, and avoided the canned variety altogether. No additional sweetener or liquid was required with our juicy beauties, but you’ll want to add a bit of apple juice or even light lemonade if your fresh peaches are not as juicy as you’d like.
