Venezuela (the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) is on the northern coast of South America, and consists of the continental mainland and numerous islands located off the coastline in the Caribbean Sea. The capital and largest city is Caracas. Additional major cities include Maracaibo, Valencia, Maracay, Barquisimeto, Ciudad Guayana and the popular tourist destination of Mérida.
Venezuela is divided into twenty-three states (Estados), a capital district (distrito capital -- Caracas), the Federal Dependencies (Dependencias Federales, a special territory), and Guayana Esequiba. Venezuela is further subdivided into 335 municipalities (municipios); these are subdivided into over one thousand parishes (parroquias).

La Samanna de Margarita, Hotel & Thalasso, is located on the Margarita Island, right at the heart of the Caribbean. The Hotel is a luxury Resort that was conceived following the highest European standards. The rooms offer a sophisticated comfort, with terraces and ocean view. The Suites have luscious gardens, a Jacuzzi and private pools. Thalassotherapy is a scientific discipline that uses appropriate combinations of sea water and marine products to help prevent and cure illnesses and ailments, as well as to beautify the human body. The sea water used at the Thalassotherapy Center is alive, which means that it preserves all its minerals and olygoelements. The water is transported through special silver pipelines. At La Samanna, the search continues with the belief that tomorrow's skincare begins today.
