Standing majestically on the banks of the River Boyne in
the rolling landscape of County Meath,
Bellinter House
exudes period glamour. We are located just under an hour
from Dublin city and Dublin Airport. The
grounds at Bellinter are extensive and have sweeping
lawns, ancient trees and a number of secluded spots to
relax and laze.
Bellinter House was built in 1750 and was designed by
the renowned German architect Richard Castle or Cassels,
who also designed the Irish Parliament, Leinster House
in Dublin. The House meticulously preserves its
classic Georgian heritage while enhancing it with the
best of modern Irish design. Elaborate decorative
plasterwork, marble fireplaces and wood paneled walls
mix easily with elemental hand-made ash furniture,
contemporary lighting, installation art and vintage and
handmade furniture.
The
Bathhouse at Bellinter is so called because of the
signature seaweed baths that are a specialty. There is
also a wide range of holistic, rejuvenating and relaxing
therapies and massage treatments available. Enjoy
facials, wraps and manicures, then slip in to the sauna
or steam room and dip into the infinity pool.

Temple Country
Retreat Spa combines the
warmth and charm of a 250 year old Irish country house, with the
care and pampering of a contemporary health spa. Set in one hundred
acres of pasture, surrounded by stately beech and ash, on the site
of an ancient monastery, Temple is a retreat for the modern age.
Declan and Bernadette Fagan opened their home as a country house B&B
in 1987. They gained a reputation for easygoing hospitality and
superb cooking - as healthy as it is delicious. Bernadette uses
local meats, dairy produce, fruit and vegetables, as well as herbs
from the garden, to create menus with a special Temple magic.
Vegetarian, vegan and special diets are catered for. In the
nineties, walking and cycling, yoga and aromatherapy were added to
the holiday menu and in 1998 a suite of treatment rooms, sauna and steamroom, conservatory and five new bedrooms were seamlessly
blended into the old world courtyard. The Temple Spa was born.
Temple is surrounded by an unspoiled rural countryside, with hedge
enclosed pastures where cattle graze, and lakes, peat bogs, historic
sites, houses and gardens are waiting to be explored. These are six
championship golf courses, facilities for sailing, lake fishing and
an excellent equestrian centre all within a 30-minute drive. |

Right in the heart
of the Kingdom of Oriel, the ancient Irish kingdom,
Castle Leslie is
steeped in history. It's the seat of the Leslies, one of Ireland's
more interesting and unusual families who came to Ireland in the
16th Century. Ancestor John Leslie, the fighting Bishop, bought the
estate with a £2,000-reward for defending Charles II against
Cromwell. Following a huge investment over the last 10
years, 2007 saw an important stage of the Castle Leslie Estate's
evolution. The Castle was transformed into a private members' club
while the Hunting Lodge re-opened with its 35 bedrooms, Brasserie,
Conor's Bar and Victorian Spa. Alongside is the brand new Equestrian
Centre destined to be Ireland's Ultimate Equestrian Playground.

Ireland
(Irish: Éire; Ulster Scots:
Airlann) is the third largest
island in Europe, and the twentieth-largest island in the world. It lies to the
north-west of continental Europe and is surrounded by hundreds of islands and
islets. To the east of Ireland, separated by the Irish Sea, is the island of
Great Britain. Politically, the state called Ireland (also
described as the Republic of Ireland in cases of ambiguity) covers five-sixths
of the island, with Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, covering the
remainder in the north-east. The name Ireland derives from the name
Ériu (in modern Irish, Éire) with the addition of the Germanic word
land. Most other western European names for Ireland derive from the same
source, such as French Irlande. Geographic and Travel
