Great location but definitely not a 4 star hotel. Bathrooms are not updated. Outside of the main entrance façade this hotel has no character. Also the guest rooms do not warm up like they should in the winter. It was frigid inside.

The staff at this hotel is world class. I’ve never stayed at a hotel with more friendly or accommodating staff. I was staying with my 11 year old daughter and her best friend going to see the mansions. Upon the first call the front desk manager told me to check and make sure we could go because of vaccination rules. I was so impressed he was so knowledgeable about the little glitches that might ruin the trip. We enjoyed the pool and I got to relax in the hot tub (all to ourselves!) Upon leaving my car key battery wouldn’t work. They found a battery for me! Beyond helpful and all with a smile and great attitude. The girls were so impressed they said that “Newport has the nicest people!” Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful corner of the world and making us feel more than at home.
Great 3 day stay for a girlfriends' and sisters' trip. We had a clean room (albeit pretty small and could use a refresh), very friendly service, nice massage, courteous valet and enjoyed the convenient location. Food was good but not fantastic. Still, we plan to return next year.
