Positive ReviewHotel Rooms at Orlando World Center MarriottThe Spa at Orlando World Center Marriott
Orlando, FL

Spa Index sent our graphic artist to the Spa at Orlando World Center Marriott for her first facial ... and she returned a convert.

"My visit to the Spa at Orlando World Center Marriott was definitely one of the most pleasurable experiences I've ever had.   My teenager daughter and I went together, and we arrived to find a very relaxed, yet extremely classy atmosphere."

Coral Gables

Positive ReviewCamelot Salon & Day Spa, Coral Gables, FL
From the time that you come in the door you are treated like a princess. The atmosphere was soothing and relaxing. The facial and body polish I received were excellent. The prices were also fair and reasonable. When I go back to Miami for vacation this will definitely be a place to go. Thanks Nancy and her staff for a wonderful experience. -- Iris H.  2007

Ft. Lauderdale

Positive ReviewDiva's Day Spa, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
The service at Diva's Day Spa was fabulous! Before my Microdermabrasion facial began I laid down on a bed of rose petals. The experience was simply divine. -- Lyn F. 2008

Largo

Positive ReviewMidori Salon & Spa, Largo, FL
I had my bridesmaid's luncheon at Midori Salon & Spa over the weekend. It could NOT have been more perfect. Every aspect of the day was spectacular. There were 5 of us receiving massages and facials. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We had the whole area to ourselves for our party- with food, mimosas and wine- everything was so fantastic. The Midori staff always takes great care of me when I'm there and on this day it was no different- it was as if we were their only clients. I don't know how I lived before Amy's facials, and Wes' massage was seriously relaxing! Amber and her staff treated us with the utmost professionalism and made sure that we had the most relaxing day ever. -- Gina S. Nov 2009

Miami

Positive ReviewNirvana Spa at the Dezerland Hotel, Miami, FL
I don't even know where to begin, other than to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU for recommending this unique environment.  I wanted something "rich looking and luxurious and plus, clean and calm without being spartan" and Spa Index directed to me to Nirvana, and that's exactly what it was. Bliss!

The Turkish steam rooms were so relaxing, and my husband and I wished we could step into that VIP Suite -- we would have spent our entire honeymoon there if we could!

It was also nice that the hotel you recommended had a lot of interest to my husband, who is a vintage car nut.  Between the spa for me, and the cars for him, this was the PERFECT spot. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for helping with this wonderful  honeymoon! -- Mary T. 2007

Naples

Positive ReviewThe Golden Door Spa at Naples Grande Resort & Club
The Golden Door Spa is one of Naples' MUST visit locations. I have received treatments before, but this felt like a true spa retreat leaving me both relaxed and invigorated. Upon arrival, I was personally escorted on a short tour of the facility which included an outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, changing rooms, and a meditation room. The main treatment building was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. My aesthetician took excellent care of me, ensuring that I was comfortable throughout the treatment. The outdoor section is what made this experience so unique. Before and after my facial, I spent time in the eucalyptus steam room and catching up on an issue of Naples Illustrated by the pool... The combination of indoor treatment, soothing sounds, sunshine and steam room provided a sensory experience that was extraordinary. When you make your appointment, leave extra time to lounge poolside.  -- Cyndee W., 2009

Orlando

Positive ReviewL'Espirit Day Spa, Orlando, FL
I was in Orlando with my husband for a Performance Racing Industry trip and decided to take some time for myself and made an appointment at L'Espirit Day Spa. I had never been to L'Espirit Day Spa before and had no idea what to expect. The moment I walked through the door I had a good feeling I had made a good choice.  One of the things I really liked was it was very personal. You didn't have to go to a locker room. You went directly to the room you were having your massage in. You kept your personal belonging in the room with you. You were given your instructions to prepare you for your massage and they were waiting for you to let them know when you were ready. I had a wonderful salt scrub. After the salt scrub I showered in the same room. Kim, again directed me to let her know when I was ready. Following my salt scrub I had a Swedish Massage with hot stones. The hot stones were an addition I was glad I made. The hot stones bring you to a whole new level of relaxation. After my massage I slipped into a comfy robe and slippers and went to the very next room to have a European facial. This was a great way to wrap up my visit. Both my Massage Therapist, Kim and Esthetician, Luz were very friendly, accommodating, and accomplished. I was beyond pleased with my visit and an added bonus the prices were reasonable. If you want to pamper yourself or spoil a loved one I highly recommend L’Esprit Day Spa.  -- Amy C., 2007

Negative ReviewCanyon Ranch Gaylord Palms, Orlando, FL
I was disappointed with my day visit to this spa because I was treated differently than hotel guests. I wasn't given a good description of what services were or were not available to me. I was made to park at Disney and take a shuttle to the hotel -- no complimentary on-site parking is available for day guests even if you are buying spa services.  So not only do you pay for parking, you have to be off the property and shuttle over.  They didn't tell me this in advance -- and that impacts how much time you allow to be sure you are on time for your appointments. This was a major hassle and affected the day of bliss I was expecting. The services are very costly. I believe only the director is a employee of Canyon Ranch -- everyone else works for the hotel.  This isn't like a real Canyon Ranch at all, so don't go expecting that, and you won't be disappointed. -- Cathy C., 2007

Positive ReviewGrand Floridian Resort and Spa Disney, Orlando, FL
I had the most wonderful experience. The employees are knowledgeable and unbelievably customer- service oriented. I had several treatments -- facial, massage, herbal bath, seaweed soak and mask, salt scrub, and pedicure! Definitely the best massage I've ever had, and I've had a few. I was impressed with the facility as well as all the different treatments. Really upscale. Disney does everything with such class! -- Dara C. 2009

St. Augustine

Disappointing ReviewSmall Indulgences European Day Spa, St. Augustine, FL
My sister and I received services at the Small Indulgences European Day Spa on Friday, March 11th. While we were thrilled with the actual treatments and the people who provided the treatments, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of respect and courtesy we were extended by the personnel at the front desk. We had arranged by e-mail and telephone for two half-day indulgence packages with the substitution of pedicures in place of the make-up applications. This substitution was confirmed by both e-mail and phone. Apparently this information never made it into the Spa's computer schedule for March 11th. We understand that mistakes happen and we would gladly have agreed to any reasonable solution management may have offered to rectify the mistake. However, no attempts were made to take responsibility for the mistake and to try to accommodate our wishes. A simple apology and acknowledgement that there must have been some sort of mix-up on management's part and the offer of a reasonable attempt to accommodate us would have been greatly appreciated. Instead we were made to feel that we were being unreasonable and the situation was our fault. What should have been an enjoyable and relaxing experience left us with unnecessary stress and the impression that we were not wanted in the establishment. Based on the amount of money we were spending at a business created to provide relaxing and "indulgent" experiences we expected much better.  -- Tamara T. 2008

Sunrise

Positive ReviewBeauty Cafe Salon & Spa, Sunrise, FL
This is the best eyebrow threading place in town Roxanne their full specialist has excellent positive vibes and fantastic customer service. The peel facial was superb it brightened my face, beauty cafe is a life saver. -- Rose M., 2008

Weston

Positive ReviewElizabeth Arden Red Door LifeStyle Spa at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure
This Elizabeth Arden Red Door LifeStyle Spa is the most amazing spa I have ever been to. It's located at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Resort in Weston and it has its own private entrance. Walking through the huge red door into the zen garden and being greeted by waterfalls and lush tropical foliage immediately takes you into another world. The greeting area is also very nice with warm wood floors and more waterfalls. The staff greeted me very nicely and escorted me to the locker room area. The locker room area is very nice with hot tub and steam / sauna and you get your own locker and special key, robe and slippers with fresh, chilled cucumber slices and special water available. The decor is wonderful, the staff is very professional and it's truly an escape from 'the real world'. The tea room is also a wonderful place to relax before and after treatment. The pool area and the Bamboo spa cafe are very nice and I absolutely LOVE this place! Highly recommended. -- Michelle E., Nov 2009
