L'Aqualigne
Spa at Pelican Bay Resort,
Simpson Bay, St. Marten |
Reader
Review by Katie, submitted 2007
To be honest this was the worst spa experience I have had. I have
been lucky to have 100 plus spa treatments in my life and I have never
been so disgusted. I received a medical pedicure from L'Aqualigne. First
of all, most importantly, the tools used we filthy, dirty and some
seemed to be rusty. The entire facility, except the waiting room of
course, appeared dirty. The service itself was not worth it because I
truly did not know what was "medical" about it and in turn much more
expensive. I brought up my concerns with the manager who did nothing to
fix the situation. I don't know how this spa passed any sort of
inspection. |

El Conquistador Resort & Golden Door Spa,

Review by Mark D., submitted 2006 The Golden Door Spa was classy, the personnel were
professional. I had a wonderful stress reduction massage
and a facial (my first ever). The prices were above
average, but consistent with pricing of items on the
island. I enjoyed the waterfall Jacuzzi tub. What
a blast to stand nude under a hot waterfall, definitely
my favorite feature. A nice reception area,
quality atmosphere, with a sitting area with many herbal
tea selections. There was jazzercise downstairs,
although the workout equipment was limited. |

Review by Robyn P., submitted 2008 The staff was magnificent, and the aroma in the air just
blissful. Don't miss out on the aroma-therapy massage
and the oxygen facial. Don't leave before a hot cup of
herbal tea either, its so peaceful in the tea room!
Don't forget to stop at the shop on the way out and
stock up on their eucalyptus products, you'll appreciate
them when you get a cold! They turn your shower into
medicine, my sinuses have never been so clear! |
