Trek is a super natural fitness spa
specializing in active vacations, fitness
weight loss programs, mountain hiking
vacations, yoga, biking, kayaking, supervised
fasting, spa cuisine, and massage, all in a
spectacular setting in southeast British
Columbia, Canada, the Pacific Northwest, near

off long term. We are the Boot Camp of weight
loss spas! With a limit of 14 guests per
week, FitPlan Plus™ can help you lose weight in
an intelligent way while you are with us, and
develop a physical and nutritional program to
take home that addresses your abilities and
life circumstances. Mountain Trek's
lodge is at 2,000 feet. Hikes are up to a
maximum of 8,000 feet. We are a 1 1/4 hour
drive from Castlegar airport (we provide
complimentary shuttle service on Fridays and

Neither the impossible beauty of the drive beside the West Fork of the
Dolores River, the road perched above haunting beaver ponds nor the
dancing light through the aspen groves prepares you for the first sight
of Dunton Hot Springs. A Ghost Town so lovingly restored, so
honestly weathered, nestling beneath the glistening snow fields of the
San Juan peaks. Each of Dunton's guest
cabins is an authentic, nineteenth century, hand-hewn log building,
restored by local and Native American craftsmen who specialize in
traditional building techniques. Although no two are alike, each bears a
distinct individual character and history. All are furnished with custom
luxury amenities, and reveal splendid views that change throughout the
day with the shifting colors of sunlight on the mountains. All are less
than five minutes walk to the bar, dining area, and adjoining conference
facility of the saloon, the hot springs in the teepee and bath
house, massage and yoga rooms in the Pony Express Spa, the
bank of the West Fork of the Dolores, the waterfall, and the library.
Some cabins have direct feeds from geothermal springs.
To their surprise, many
visitors to Dunton find themselves so thoroughly occupied with the hot
springs, massages, delicious meals, reading in the library, leisurely
strolls, sentimental indulgence and conversation about the lore of the
place that such activities inspire, they hardly have time for anything
else. But, for the adventurous, Dunton's situation in
the midst of two national forests offers more wilderness than reasonably
can be exhausted in a lifetime of hiking, riding, climbing,
snow-shoeing, back country skiing, four-wheeling, fly fishing and there
is also boxing for fitness in the gym and yoga and Pilates instruction.
Helicopter skiing in association with Telluride Helitrax provides
for helicopters to land directly in the center of town, only steps from
the saloon. From Dunton, virgin basins of deep powder are accessible in
seven minutes of flying time.
By car, Dunton's proximity to
Telluride offers access to a world class alpine ski trails to the north.
In the lower altitudes of the red rock deserts to the south, visitors to
Dunton have access to many of the great Anasazi archaeological sites of
the American Southwest. Dunton is also well within driving range of
Monument Valley, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Hovenweep
National Monument, Canyon of the Ancients National Monument, Mesa Verde,
the Silverton Skyway, and the narrow gauge railway from Durango to
Silverton. |
